Five gifts that will sweep her off her feet...

Peace and Happy Holidays!

We all know that the holiday season is here and regardless of what you celebrate, usually this is the time of year when people are feeling good and feeling great. Shout out to all the men who are in the stores, at home pondering and online searching for the perfect gift(s) for her.  Let me help you out. I'm going to provide you with a list of five of the cutest and most unique things you can get for that special lady.  The secret is making her feel like she's "different."  Follow directions people.

Gift #1: IPEX bra by Victoria Secret.

Let me share something with you guys- if a chick has 50 pairs of panties and seven bras, there is a reason for that.  Bras usually run anywhere from $25.00-$50.00.  Most women who shop at Victora Secret know that, so don't just buy her the panties, get her two good bras from the IPEX  collection, because they turn average girls into Pamela Anderson.  They usually run from 32A-38DD's. They come wireless, strapless and all that other good stuff. Throw some D's on her-she might need these.

Gift #2: UNFORGIVABLE (FOR WOMEN) By Sean John

Let me tell you, this perfume is a must have. I wouldn't suggest that you solely give her this...but it would cute as a side gift and would basically prove to her that you are "progressive" and didn't play it safe with Dolce or DKNY.  With that you'll be supporting your favorite man in the world, Mr. P. Diddy.  This is a gift she probably always wanted but didn't want to buy because she wasn't sure if she liked it.  It's always better to try something on somebody else's expense. :0)  This will cost you anywhere between $55.00-$75.00.

Gift #3: Coach Legacy Scarf

If she isn't into labels she's probably into quality.  If she isn't into quality ot designer stuff, you should "tip" her anyway.  She deserves the finer things in life.  I chose the scarf because most women want to be "down" but they don't want to look like everybody else. Her friends will get a bag or a coach wallet, but who's gonna get scarf? Exclusive.  You gotta think outside the box. You'll spend about $100.00 on this one, but it's worth it. She can use it as an accessory for her hair, her neck and all the other good stuff.  It's a winner people.

Gift #4: Godiva Chocolate

This would be a dope idea because this will make her feel special.  She'll be like "Girl, he bought me $75.00 chocolate, he a baller." Lol. What you really are is a thinker. it doesn't atke a baller to ball.  You just spent like $80.00 on a tower of chocolate...that's genius. :0)

Gift #5: Soulja Boy Gift pack.

For all the dudes working but on a budget, your creativity is worth a million dollars and your love is priceless.  For everything else, you can use a mastercard.  The Soulja Boy package is something i came up with. What you do is buy the album, which is $9.99-$11.99.  Then you rock your favorite shades, put on your classic dickie pants and super soak that- you already know.  Just lay it down. That gift is priceless. She gets you, she gets a funny ass cd (that is being slept on) and she sees you make a fool out of yourself. GIRLS LOVE GUYS ITH HUMOR.  To top it off, write her a poem about her being your "Soulja Girl," while running her some bath water with candles and roses stationed throughout the room. Give this gift in private. :0) CRANK THAT.

So that's it.  Five thing you cana buy your girl, to make her happy. Let me know if it works out. HAPPY HOLIDAYS.

P.S. If you were real, you would get her the whole list.

LET'S CELEBRATE THE ART OF STORY TELLIN'...

PEACE. BEFORE I BEGAN I WOULD LIKE TO SAY SHOUT OUT TO THE CAPS LOCK.  I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IT BOTHERS SOME OF YOU SO MUCH. SINCE I'M FOR THE PEOPLE, I'LL DO YOU GUYS A FAVOR AND TURN IT OFF, AS OF NOW.

Blessings and good thoughts.  It's December 21, 2007, 10 days away from New Years Eve and the spirit of the holidays are in the building.  Shout out to the good people over at H&M for their amazing sale racks and all the beautiful children awaiting Santa or momma and daddie's paycheck.  I  also wanted to say peace and blessing to all of my readers (both positive and negative) people of all cultures and the artist who've gave me a chance this year. Shout out to AL BE BACK, Tony Williams and Tim William in particular, as well as SUGA T and Ja RULE. You guys have been some of my most cherished.

This blog isn't about "shout outs" rather "The ART of Storytellin'." I just wanted to take control (again) and get the ball back in my court. We need some good energy around here. Anyway, growing up i always thought that stories were one of the ways to create these dope visuals and imagery worked at it's best through emcees using storytellin'. I still believe that. Of course most people would say that the pioneer of this sh*t was non-other than Slick Rick and he is the god of that sh*t-which is valid.  I just wanted to display my OPINION in choosing Nasir Jones aka the husband of the most slept on Kelis.  I know comments are going to flourish with a lot of Biggie comments and hopefully some Lupe comments and probably a couple Jay-Z and Scarface comments, but after tracks like "Rewind" and "Undying Love," it's highly impossible to reach this dudes (Nas') level. Who else you know can spit a song backwards and come up with his concepts? The dude is mean.

In homage of the art, I wanted to display some of the dopest storytellin' videos of all time.  I thought this would be cool, since a lot of my people, think I'm slipping on the blog side. Remember people, I'm here and I'm going nowhere anytime soon...so expect "Altering Popular Perception," everyday until the end of the year is out. Peace! I LOVE ALL YA'LL-FRIEND OR FOE...LOL

What more can I say, HOV?

WELL GOOD MORNING PEOPLE. I'VE REALLY BEEN RUNNING OUT OF WORDS.  NOT BECAUSE I HAVE WRITERS BLOCK BUT BECAUSE EVERYTHING THAT'S BEEN ON MY MIND HAS BEEN NEGATIVE. :0) I'M SICK AND TIRED OF THE SAME SEVEN DUDES IN HIP HOP.  THIS ISN'T A FORM OF HATING, JUST THE TRUTH.  I HAVE THE CONVERSATION A(H)LOT ABOUT DOPE EMCEES AND I LISTEN TO A(H)LOT OF GROUNDBREAKING AND EMREGING PEOPLE AND AT THE END OF THE DAY, ALL I HEAR IS "LIL WAYNE" AND "JAY-Z."

I WAS GLAD TO SEE THE TOP 25 ALBUMS OF THE YEAR AND THE RUDE JUDE AND RA DISCUSSION BECAUSE FOR ME (BOTH) BROUGHT BACK VARIETY AND DISCUSSION. I BELIEVE JAY-Z IS A DOPE EMCEE AND A GREAT PERSON TO ADMIRE IN REGARDS TO MY GENERATION, YET I DON'T THINK EVERYBODY REALLY THINKS THAT HE'S "THE GREATEST RAPPER"- THEY JUST SAY IT BECAUSE IT SEEMS TO BE THE RIGHT THING. LIKE WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, EVERYBODY THOUGHT IT WAS EITHER BIGGIE OR TUPAC-BARELY ANYBODY THOUGHT FOR THEMSELVES.  I'M NOT AN A&R, NOR AM I A SCOUT BUT I KNOW 75% OF THE PEOPLE I KNOW WANNA BE RAPPERS AND THEY'RE ALRIGHT.  WHAT'S MY POINT? THE POINT IS, THERE ARE TOO MANY GOOD EMCEES FOR YOU DUDES TO JUST BRING UP THE SAME THREE OR FOUR.  I AM TIRED OF HEARING AND SEEING THE SAME RAPPERS TALKING ABOUT DRUGS AND WEIGHT, WHILE CRUISING IN BOATS AND TALKING ABOUT NOTHING.

I WAS BORN IN '85 & I FEEL LIKE I'VE MISSED OUT ON A HUGE PART OF HIP HOP, BUT I FEEL SORRY FOR ANYONE WHO WAS BORN AFTER '90. YOU HAVEN'T BEEN EXPOSED TO "S." IT'S SAD. IT TRULY IS. I HAVE ONE SUGGESTION PEOPLE, EXPAND YOUR MIND.  IT'S OK TO LIKE LIL BOOSIE AND LIL BROTHER OR KIDZ IN THE HALL AND FREEWAY, BUT PLEASE DON'T TELL ME "LIL WAYNE IS THE GREATEST RAPPER OF ALL TIME" AND EXPECT, RESPECT.  IT'S WRONG. YOU ARE A SHEEP. IT'S FALSE AND YOU NEED TO DO SOME RESEARCH. OUT OF 30 YEARS, ALL YOU CAN SAY IS "LIL WAYNE" OR "JEEZY?" I MISS THE ART OF THE "DEBATE."  I MISS PEOPLE THINKING FOR THEMSELVES.

AND THIS IS BIGGER THAN HIP HOP, THESE TYPE OF STATEMENTS ARE REFLECTS OF THE WAY PEOPLE THINK. IT'S NOT OK, TO NOT HAVE YOUR OWN MIND. IF THERE WERE 500 GUYS WHO THOUGHT LIL WAYNE WAS DOPE OR 1 MILLION CATS WHO THOUGHT JAY-Z WAS THE G.O.A.T., IT WOULD MAKE, BUT WITH THE WAY PEOPLE TALK, YOU WOULD THINK THESE WERE ABSOLUTES.  JAY-Z IS NICE, WAYNE IS GOOD, BUT KNOW THAT FOR YOURSELF.

P.S. AND SHOUT OUT TO LUPE BUT I HAVE A FEAR THAT EVERYBODY IS ABOUT TO RIDE THE JOCK OF THE WEST-SIDE  SKATEBOARDER JUST BECAUSE, IT SEEMS TO BE THE RIGHT THING TO DO. SMH...ALL OF A SUDDEN EVERYBODY THINKS LUPE DESERVES HIS RESPECT. LOL. GOOD LUCK IN LIFE FOLLOWERS. I REALLY DIDN'T WANNA DO IT, BUT YOU GUYS AHD TO BE EXPOSED. ARE U A SHEEP? THINK ABOUT IT.

Worst comments/perspectives of 2007.

Peace!

After the shocking new yesterday and the story that went untold for quite some time...people were/are saying some foul ish.  I don't understand the excitement or thrill people get out of being harsh, rude or disrespectful.  I'm not a saint, but I'm not a fool.  As a sidenote, Karma is a muthafucka.  It's also important for all the fans and readers to understand that you don't truely know these people-most of them don't know themeselves.  When I refer to "these people" I'm talking about your favorite crew, rapper or entertainer.  Some of these comments posted on the #1 site in the world (hiphopdx.com) are crazy.

I was thinking, maybe I should write  a blog about the worst comment posted in 2007.  I've seen shit like, "Kanye made a song called Hey Momma, now he can write one called Bye Momma." I've seen comments like, "Tell Jim Jones, he can put his mouth on a curb and sombody can kick the back of his head." I've read "AHLOT is sucking somebody off to be where she's at."  They all make little to no sense.  It's pure hate or ignorance that lead to these sort of comments. LOL, c'mon people get real.

Unfortunately, the site doesn't show you how many clicks we get a day opposed to ignorant comments, but I know a lot of intelligent guys and girls who come to this site and avoid commenting because of some of our "Frequent Flyers."  I've come to the conclusion that most of the people who comment are young and still passionate about Hip Hop or grown ass men stuck in their second childhood.  Either way, you'll soon understand that opinion is cool, but when you start wishing death, sucking sacks or bringing in family members, it makes you look like a fool.

Back in the day Hip Hop debates were legit and based on concrete evidence. Now, people bring out shit that they heard about rappers in high school, their baby-mommas, how many bullet wounds. Who cares? Do you? I don't.

With that, let me know the some of the dumbest, craziest, most ignorant comments or perspectives that you've read this year.  Here are some of mine:

1.) The interview with Uncle Murda. Smh.  The comments on that story were crazy and the responses from him were too. How could anybody think it is so cool, to be so wack?  I don't believe in "EXTRA GANGSTAS."

2.)  The comments made after Kanye's mother's death.  I couldn't believe that people would say such harsh things-whether you know him or not. Why are you so mad at him?  That's somebody's momma. Step away from the stereo...he's human.

3.) The comments made on the Ja Rule feature story.  Some of you are a little too excited about the Murder Inc./G-Unit ish. SMH, you don't know Tony Yayo.  Lol.  Give Ja some credit.  Ya'll straight tried to hurt his pride.

4.) The comments made weekly in the Beauty and Brains section.  People go there to tear down women for being naked.  I don't get it. I'm sure these women look better than most of your girlfriends.  Do me a favor and rate ya chick. Dudes be on there like, "She's a one because she has a bad haircut...I would never hit!"  Smh. Stop. Lol.  You've probably hit worse. Remember these are hand picked women. Smh.

5.)  The "Nigger" jokes.  Nigga, you playing yourself thinking racism is gonna stop people.  It's 2007. We here baby!  Black people are keeping it movin'.  White Supremacy is played out.  After all, typing the word "nigger" is not causing anybody a breakdown. Get a life, join the Klan and meet in your favorite garments late at night, when nobody can see you-it's tradition. Sidenote: Shout out to NAS.

6.) Last but not least the excited male groupies who ride the pipe of Lil Wayne everyday.  Please step away from the sack. Lol. It's not that serious. Fall back. We know he's good. Shout out to the thousands of features.

THATS WHY I MAKE IT MY DUTY TO "ALTER POPULAR PERCEPTION." PEACE! :0)

R.I.P. PIMP C AND SHOUT OUT TO UGK

Peace! Well, recently I wrote a blog about L.I.P. (Living In Peace) a matter of fact it was yesterday.  This blog is in homage to UGK, both Bum B and Pimp C and the contributions they've made to Hip Hop and Southern rap in particular.  Here's an opportunity for fans, listeners and supporters to send out their support to his friends, family and Bun B- his lifelong partner.

R.I.P. PIMP C aka Chad Butler, he would have been 34 this year.

R.I.P.? How about L.I.P.?

Peace!
It seems as if death under 25 is a cultural norm for black and brown people in this country.  I always see rest in peace signs, t-shirts and trees filled with teddy bears and flowers, throughout inner-city and rural neighborhoods. Just recently, a girl (Latasha  Norman) who I attended school with was found dead in a wooded area, slaughtered by her ex-boyfriend. The NFL football player was found murked, Manny Fresh's sister is gone and the world doesn't stop.

I saw all the fans of The Washington Redskins, cry, paint their faces and rock the number "21," and the "R.I.P." acronym was written across peoples faces...

I watched Tupac's Resurrection last night and the same thing ran across my mind- R.I.P.

I think its important for people to understand the importance of living and taking advantage of every moment.  Let's live in PEACE and live everyday like it's the last.  It's so easy for people to say REST iN PEACE.  I think it's important for us not to forget the opportunity of living.  These days are becoming shorter and shorter and it has nothing to do with whether you did something bad or not-people are  getting raped, slaughtered, set-up, popped, ran over and all kinds of shit.  Like the Eminem track, "You only get one shot."  DO NOT miss your chance to blow. Hold every second like it's your last.

Shout out to all the friends and families that lost people this year and stay focused, fresh and free.  It's the only way to go. BTW, let's LIVE IN PEACE, to avoid so many people resting in it. LETS enjoy our FREEDOMS.  PEACE!QUEENS, NYC SUMMER 2007
