50 Cent Owns Dr. Dre

Favorite producer of all-time? I can’t call it, Dr. Dre or DJ Premier…I can go either way on any given day. Being the fan that I am of the Doctor’s, I’ve ignored a lot of the questionable shit that he’s done in favor of just enjoying those beats that he makes so well. But after this leak of 6 Dre produced Game tracks originally for Doctorâs Advocate…I gotta say something.

50 Cent owns Dr. Dre. Not in the way that 50 owned Ja Rule in that beef a few years back, more in the master-slave ownership type way. It pains me to even say it, but isn’t that the truth? Let’s review…

Dre signs 50, Dre signs Game. Dre sells a lot of albums with 50, Dre sells a lot of albums with Game. 50 doesn’t like Game anymore, Game doesn’t like 50 anymore.

Game loves Dr. Dre. Game really loves Dr. Dre. Game calls sophomore album Doctor’s Advocate. Cause Game loves Dr. Dre. He also says his name a lot. Dr. Dre.

50 doesn’t like Game. 50 loves powerplays. 50 says Dre can’t produce Game’s album. Game’s album is named for Dre. 50 says he will have beef with Dre if he works with Game. Game loves Dre.

50 sells more records than Game. 50 has more power than Game. Game loves Dre. Dre loves money. Dre doesn’t produce a song on Game’s album. Game’s album is named after Dre. Game loves Dre.

Get it?

Now imagine this: You are one of hip hop’s greatest and most influential producers. Your discography includes Straight Outta Compton, Eazy Duz It, No One Can Do It Better, Evil4zaggin, The Chronic, Doggystyle, 2001and countless other brilliant contributions. You introduced the masses to some of hip hop’s biggest stars; Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, Game. You are the cornerstone of hip hop’s most powerful label and have made more money than you could ever spend.

Sounds like a pretty good place to be no? So how is it that Dre could cave to 50’s threats? Ignore that he is turning his back on someone who idolizes you enough to name is album after you. Shit, maybe he doesn’t even like Game. How are you going to let a relative rookie in this game tell you, a motherfucking legend, who you can and can’t produce for? Sure, 50 is gonna sell more records than Game. Do you really need that extra money?

Honestly, how can Dre have any self respect? How can the man look himself in the mirror? I wonder if 50 took Dre’s nuts and got them dipped in platinum and diamonds for his next chain. I just cannot comprehend how someone of Dre’s status would just bend over and take it from 50 like that…a man who is just as indebted to him as Game is.

As you can see, the tracks were already made. Til’ 50 told Dre he’d take his toys and go home. So Dre took his toys from Game and kicked Game out of his house.

I’m generally pretty hard on Game, cause for the most part he acts like a complete douche. But I feel really sorry for the guy. You’re so grateful and appreciative that this guy you idolize signs you that you want to pay him tribute by naming your album after him, and he turns his back on you cause a more important rapper told him to? Ouch. No wonder the guy is so unstable.

Don’t get it twisted, Dre is still my favorite producer of all-time (along with Primo of course). His actions haven’t changed how much I respect his body of work over the last two decades. But as far as having any respect for him as a man, sorry, I’m no advocate.
