After all the controversy and uproar about "Hot ghetto Mess", BET went and changed the name to "We Got to do Better" in a sad attempt to back up what they CLAIMED was the original intent of prokoking diaolgue for change within the Black community...but here are a couple of things I noticed to the contrary.....

#1(and my biggest point).....to anyone who can view show summaries on thier cable channels, mine said "Charlie Murphy  presents humorous  moments in Black Popular culture" OOPS!! looks like they forgot to switch that one up for "Charlie Murphy provides thought-provoking material of embarrassing antics from all cultures for the Black Community to reflect upon and change thier ways..."

#2  Sure, there were a couple of White people thrown into the mix....but I bet $5 that was an afterthought

#3 how rediculously obvious was it that instead of the home depot ads (that were pulled a few weeks ago), they paid "tribute" to influential black Leaders and why we should "make them proud" by not beign a hot ghetto mess....please....BET had NO intention on airing something like that if there wasnt all of this controversy...

#4 Look at what the most frequent ad was...WHOS YOUR CADDY!!! ....hands down the most coonish, B-rate movie of the year...

#5 did anyone else find it odd at how somber CHarlie tried to make his commentary?  i bet $10 that BET had him re-do all of it to change the tone of the show..

please...ya'll aint foolin no one...

HOWEVERRRRRR...with all of that said...let it be known that i STILL am a firm believer in everyone's right to freedom of speech and expression..so no, it shouldnt be taken off of the air..if you dont like it, dont watch it....but BET shouldnt have tried to back pedal their way out of it.  Be proud of your ignorance...

ill admitt it..i chuckled a few times.


PS...and also incased you didnt notice... in some parts he called the show "we got to do better" while other times he said "hot ghetto mess"...a BIG indicator that parts of the show were re-done
