Are We Ready for Nitti?

One of my very talented interns, and up and coming writer, snagged an interview with producer, Nitti. She couldn't get play elsewhere, so I figured, why not let her article get some shine here. Check out her interview with Nitti where he drops gems about his forthcoming album...

What do you get when you have a boy who grows up in Decatur, Georgia surrounded by music? You get the



boy turned super producer Nitti. The Atlanta resident has been making beats since the tender age of 15 in Decatur, Georgia where he grew up, but yet the young beat creator still finds time to stay humble despite his success.

"I don't look at [my success] like that. I am having fun. I see it as a little bit more people know of me now."




The ATL producer's career took off with the Yung Joc produced single "Its Goin' Down," but Nitti has since moved on from that



 and is ready to do his own album titled "Ghettoville USA."

"[Fans] can expect an album that they can play from start to end." "It's going to be a classic." "It's going to be filled with songs that you can ride to, drink to, smoke to whatever."




He has been working on the disc for the past six months and now and feels that it is a necessity to drop an album for the



streets. According to him many of the great producers like Timberland, Jermaine Dupri and the even the great Quincy Jones release albums and he has to be apart of that no matter the outcome.

With that said he is also quick to differentiate himself from the rest of the pack.




"I don't know about other producers but I am an hands on producer," he said. "I don't sample mainly because it don't impress me, so when an artist walk in they can hear the snares and the bass start."




Now looking ahead he is also ready to bring his imprint to Warner Bros. Records. In the deal the Grammy-nominated producer will signs artists under his label, Play-maker Music who in turn will get released through Warner Bros.




"It was a brand new situation over at Warner Bros., they didn't have anybody overthere like a Dre with Aftermath or a Jermaine Dupri so I am the head person over there."




And he is wasting no time getting working with new prospects to get their name out.




"I'm in the studio with young Capone who is on Island [Def Jam] he's a priority," he said. "Also I'm working with Tocarra Hamilton, Midnight, Scrilla and 9th ward. I want to create characters like Wu-Tang had characters I want to bring that back."
