so dig man, there is this 'accepted as fact' rumor goin around that superman that hoe means to bust a nut on a sleeping girls back and put a t-shirt on it, let it dry and when she wakes up she has a cape. (YUUUUUUUUUUUUUULLLL!) now im no authority on what the new slang is but my money says that this is faker than that carter III advance i was listening to last night.
i got my own theory, okay the song is about being fly right? he talks about haters being mad at his bathing apes and gives instructions on how to do his dance right? there aint too much about fuckin in the song if my context clues are correct, well maybe supersoak that hoe is a direct sex reference but i am willing to wager that could be more about shooting you (with a real or water gun, this guy is still in high school, last time i checked kids still liked water guns)
i think that superman that hoe is in reference to being fly. like you know so fly that you are damn near superman, nigga im so fly i got my name on my shades AND i got some bathing apes, YUUUULLLLLL!
okay lets cite the lyric sheet:
Chorus: Soulja Boy Off In This Hoe Watch Me Crank It Watch Me Roll Watch Me Crank Dat Soulja Boy Then Super Man Dat Hoe Now Watch Me Do (Crank Dat Soulja Boy)
okay the hook sets it off and is where we are introduced to the phrase 'superman dat hoe'. i know he has a real thick accent and its hard to grasp onto any other part of the song but walk with me fam. lets break the verses down cus i think niggas just heard that and ran with it.
Verse 1: Soulja Boy Off In This Hoe Watch Me Lean And Watch Me Rock Super Man Dat Hoe Then Watch Me Crank Dat Robocop Super Fresh, Now Watch Me Jock Jocking On Them Haterz Man When I Do Dat Soulja Boy I Lean To The Left And Crank Dat Thang (Now You) I'm Jocking On Yo Bitch Ass And If We Get The Fightin Then I'm Cocking On Your Bitch You Catch Me At Yo Local Party Yes I Crank It Everyday Haterz Get Mad Cuz "I Got Me Some Bathin Apes"
okay in the context of that verse superman that hoe is part of the dance. where is the sexual point of reference at? cus he says hoe? in atl(and the midwest) hoe is as univeral a term as bitch is. meaning that if you got a nice car 'taht bitch/hoe is fresh' or say the party was dope 'that bitch/hoe was crunk'. don imus got the game all fucked up fam, hoe is a noun aka person, place or thing where i come from so when he says 'solja boy off in dis hoe' he aint talkin about up in ya girl, he talkin about at the local party
Verse 2: I'm Bouncin On My Toe Watch Me Super Soak Dat Hoe I'ma Pass It To Arab Then He Gon Pass It To The Low (Low) Haterz Wanna Be Me Soulja Boy, I'm The Man They Be Lookin At My Neck Sayin Its The Rubberband Man (Man) Watch Me Do It (Watch Me Do It) Dance (Dance) Let Get To It (Let Get To It) Nope, You Can't Do It Like Me Hoe, So Don't Do It Like Me Folk, I See You Tryna Do It Like Me Man That Shit Was Ugly
okay this verse is where i kinda think ppl got the sexual references mixed up. when he says supersoak dat hoe he then says he gonna pass it to arab (his homeboy) and arab is gonna pass it off again. now this is where the ambiguity of the term 'hoe' gets in the way. is he talkin about a girl? a (water)gun? i dont know but i do know its one of those two.
Hook: Im to freah off in this hoe Watch me crank it Watch me roll Watch me crank that roosavelt And super soak that Hoe (x4) Im to fresh up in this bitch Watch me shuffle Watch me jig Watch me crank my shoulder work Super man Do it
okay now i have no logical explanation for what roosevelt that hoe means but i DO know that there is a high school in atlanta named roosevelt. its not far fetched to think that he coulda been bigging up his school or shoutin out a school where the hoes is at that he likes to supersoak.
i spent alot of time around atlanta natives and in atlanta during college and i will say this about them. slangwise the only niggas fuckin with atlanta is the bay. they got their own language and its largely based on regional/local people/places and things. well that could be said for any big city but i know its the case for atlanta. this is what happens when regional music goes national, the same way 'aye bay bay' was a tribute to a local dj and NOBODY took the time to find out what the hell hurricane chris was talkin about is the same way people are running with solja boy's phrase. but then again thats part of the fun of music right? reinterpreting it
so please people, if you see that email forward thats talkin about stickin a shirt to your sleeping girlfriends back, dont believe the hype, some nigga prolly just made that shit up.
***oh yeah the vpnd show episode 11 is up people! TUNE IN!

John Gibson, form fox news, makes some assumptions on the recent ohio school shooting. basically dude thought the shooter was black and begins to blame hip hop and *THEN* checks his facts and looks like an ass on air.

dude is 100% correct too, for real. say what you want about his last album or his rapper ternt acting but i am still a huge fan of him and his work and will remain to be. artist to artist he is the kind of dude who i personally strive to be like with regards to vision and ambition.
