                First and foremost, I hope you guys voted for us over at VH1. If you haven’t,  go ahead and do that. If you have voted for us…go ahead and do it again (you can do it once a day). I already told ya’ll “We the Best”   here, so make sure to show your support. Definitely don’t vote for that site with the rumors section that steals from Mediatakeout.com, and don’t vote for that site that steals from yours truly.



                So yea, on the subject of VH1 Hip Hop Honors….what the fuck where THEY thinking? A quick glance over the honorees and something stands out. Whodini, Tribe… yea, Wild Style, New Jack Swing..yea. I’m not the biggest fan of Snoop’s music anymore, but he has influenced the game, and he has been putting it down for awhile. There’s a lot of people I would have honored first, (Dj Quik anyone?) but u know, cool.  Missy Elliot? WTF? Come on now, are they that blind? Did I miss a year where they already honored Queen Latifah? See…I thought if they were gonna honor Tribe, they should have honored Tribe, De La, and Latifah all the same year, or just do the whole Native Tongue posse. The flower power, the African pendants…all that shit. That’d be dope…but Missy? Not only are they honoring Missy, on the site it says she’s “one of hip hop’s most outspoken feminist”….really? More than Latifah? When was this…let me go back in my history of Missy Elliot…



                Originally she sucked, but was on some different shit. (Three Six Mafia was on some different shit when they first came out too…that didn’t make them dope, and I don’t see them getting honored either) This was around the time hip hop was on that jiggy shit, she got on every remix puffy wasn’t on, and some that he was. She lost some weight, then came back still over weight, but now on some slutty rap shit. Oh, don’t let me forget about the song she did with Timberland and Magoo where every verse they did was “borrowed” (people diss Jay z for taking lines, they took WHOLE VERSES) from someone from back in the days. If your gonna honor a chick for rapping like a slut…at least honor one of the original “slut speak” femcees, Lil Kim or Foxy. (Fuck what ya’ll talking about Foxy was sexy than a muthafucka, and Lil Kim was pretty before all the surgery) But of course, they’re not honoring her for those lyrics…they’re honoring her for all her feminist shit...sure.



                Missy didn’t even put VA on the map, cuz I’m sure most didn’t even know she was from there. (Is she?) If they weren’t gonna honor  Latifah, they could have honored Outkast, or Scarface, or one of the other legends from the south. Maybe they have already, I don’t know, I haven’t seen all the “Hip Hop Honors”…maybe they already honored Latifah, if somebody knows, let me know.
