                Keep in mind, I don’t endorse illegal activities. (With the exception of piracy…Argh!) However, the current outbreak of “leaky faucet mouth” is quite disturbing. When “Stop Snitching” became a fashion statement, a lot of people cried foul. Cops complained, and citizens were allegedly “scared silent”. While a lot of the 90’s babies seem to have shit fucked up, snitching is when a person commits a crime with someone, then, when caught, informs the authorities of their partners co-operation.  While there have been several murders of innocents, who attempt to become witnesses, that itself is against the alleged “street code”.  The streets have always believed in a code of silence due to the fact that police have been known to lower sentences of criminals for their co-operation in the arrests of other criminals. In all reality, when you think about this, does this really help the hood? To get to one criminal, the cops will lighten the sentence of another for information about criminal A, thus releasing a known criminal back on to the streets to terrorize the same people he did originally. Take one bad guy off the streets; send one back to the streets sooner? This definitely doesn’t help those involved in illegal activities…but who gives a fuck about them.  The whole “Stop Snitching” campaign misconstrued the original point. Besides…should a code of silence be advertised? Hell no, a code of silence is an unspoken code…a “silent” code. So printing up shirts and donating 16 bars every other song wasn’t really keeping with tradition.



                What bothers me is the recent outbreak of REAL Snitching. First Vick, then OJ, now supposedly TI. I don’t endorse any of the accused actions of the accused, but the co-operation of their friends/partners is not only wrong, but stupid on their part. None of these snitches was hit with murder charges…or really anything TOO serious. From my understanding, none of the snitches were facing serious time. Why Co-operate with the cops then when the person who keeps you paid (actually with the exception of OJ’s case…cuz the only people he’s keeping paid is the Goldman family) is up on charges? I know a lot of people would say telling the truth about everything would be the right thing to do…but do you really think that’s why these people are doing this? Do you really think Vick’s alleged homies wanted to do what’s right? Fuck No! You think TI’s bodyguard was worried of what TI and his peoples might do with all the firearms he possessed? Fuck no, if these people were that worried about the crimes that were being committed, they would have went to the cops BEFORE being busted.



                From here on out, I do my dirt all by my lonely. Don’t ask me where I got Little Brother’s “Getback” from, cuz I don’t trust that people can keep their mouth shut when the big bad RIAA comes looking for ya boy. Let me know what ya’ll think….
