The Reality From out West

The Reality.....

     Another celebrity passes. I wish I could say that I'm hurt. See, I've never really been too bothered by the passing of celebrities, but besides that, one of my brothers died today. I wish I could say that I'm hurt. The only thing harder to deal with then losing a relative you love, is losing one you don't really care for. You'd think it'd be easier, but it's actually it's hella confusing. Add in two other family issues, and it makes for a situation fit for "reality" TV. Instead of throwing it on video ala Keyshia Cole/Irv "Gotti", I'm just gonna do what I do

December 5th, Long Beach State University, 12 noon....Somobe! If you stay out here in Southern Cal and you don't work a 9-5 monday-Friday type schedule, come to the show. It's free!!! I wish I could give you a free Lambo for showing up, but all I can promise you is great music.....and a handshake. Yea, I'll throw in a handshake, but I can't really give that much more away, seriously. Give thanks....

     Ok, once again this site's blog section decides to fuck with me. LOL, I don't know what it is about this new blog editor...but oh well. Random thoughts real quick as ya'll get bigger in honor of the Turkish people getting slaughtered.

1. This holiday is bullshit. Check Ras Kass' "Nature of the Threat"...nuff said. I still celebrate, I can't even front, however my celebrations have nothing to do with no muthafuckas that participate in chemical warfare.

2.  Southern Cal, Somobe will be coming to Long Beach State University December 5th. That's the good news. The bad news is that there show will be at 12 noon. If you have a real job, your probably can't see it. (unless you call off, which would be worth it, but hey, I understand if you don't) If your on some Brillyant shit on the other hand, make sure you get there, I'll be there in full effect, in fact, I'll be roaming the college a couple days prior to the show to promote for my peoples. The show will be free, so you can't complain about that. I have a video of Somobe performing from when I went out to Vegas (where the hell were you Shake?). You can check that out here...

3.  I'm still coming back with the blog about Kid and Play. 

4.  I'm gonna have to do a blog about the Saigon situation. Normally I avoid the big/current hip hop issue, but apparently to alot of people it's not a big issue, so it's all good, it seems important to me, so I'm gonna speak on it. Whether or not it comes before Kid N Play....I dunno.

Doing it the American Way

 

     I'm still here!!! Actually I haven't been totally gone, I just have been a
little too busy to take the time it takes me to write a blog. I tried re-posting
the blog I tried last time and it didn't work again. I said fuck it, let's try
something new. I've been posting in the message boards, speaking on video games and shit. I try to tell people PS3 and Xbox 360 are dope...but they ain't tryna
hear shit about PS3. I went through this same thing when Xbox 360 dropped...all
the way up until my shit broke (The 1st time) I was pissed. I didn't want to
send my shit back. I tried titling and starting it, all sorts of bull shit.
Finally, I said to myself,"Hey, this shit is American, I'll fix it the American
way,"....so I smacked the shit out of it. The funniest shit, is that it worked
for a little bit after that. I guess sometimes the only way to do things is the
"American way".

Hip hop has been hella boring as of late, (with the exception of the
Saigon situation yesterday)but on the other hand sports is where it's at.
It seems the people of the New England area got a lot of shit popping off.
The Patriots are still undefeated, their MLS team was in the championship, the
Boston Red Sox won the world series, the Celtic's are balling' (they've only lost
once so far). A lot of people outside of that area however are quite upset with
how America's new team (Cowboys lost their spot) the Patriots are behaving.
First there was the whole Spygate situation, where they had been caught
stealing the defense's signals by videotaping the opposing teams defensive
coordinator.(which is illegal in NFL) Since then, they've ran the score up on
everybody they could (basically every one except the Colts) keeping their
starters in all 4 quarters in blowout games, throwing passing touchdowns late in
the 4th quarter for 6 points as opposed to kicking field goals for 3[1].

I can hear Montell Jordan's "This is How We Do it" blaring in the
background now. Like dude told McNulty at the beginning of the first episode
ever of "The Wire""This is America,"[2] How else could you do it? First you
cheat, then, when busted, hit them muthafuckas with a little "shock and awe",
how you like that commie? As they run scores up Bill Belicheck patrols the
sideline in a hoodie... that's gangster! Not no Al Capone gangster shit, some
old school "We can't afford them suites, this hoodie is gonna cover my face"
gangster shit. Jay said Scarface the movie did more to him then Scarface the
rapper, shit, every time I watch the Patriots play I wanna go smack the shit
outta somebody. We don't play that. Fuck Rick James, I'm a Patriot bitch! Not
only do you have that, you gotta Tom Brady, one of America's most eligible
bachelors knocking up college straight haired hoes, then saying,"I ain't fucking
with you, I'm gonna go fuck my model bitch,". He's on some real life "Girls,
Girls, Girls" shit. Bill Belicheat had an affair with a married women and
ruined her marriage. Good thing Los Angeles doesn't have a football team, I
wouldn't want those Patriots around any women affiliated with me, you'll never
know WHAT will happen. A few weeks ago, Don Shula, coach of the only undefeated team in NFL history, the 13-0 Miami Dolphins of 1972, said "If the Patriots go undefeated, their record should have an asterisk next to it, just like people want for Barry Bonds,"[3]. Patriots players responded with comments like "Washed up old men aren't gonna make us upset" and "Maybe we need to play a little harder then,". Your gonna take this democracy, and if you don't like it, we're gonna blow your shit up. Your old ways are dead, and we don't give a fuck about
how things once were, or how long you've been here, things are gonna run how we want them to.

Hip hop is getting blamed for a lot of shit right now. The thing nobody
realizes is, while there is a lot of bullshit thrown in raps these days, that
shit didn't start with rap. That shit is embedded in American culture. You KNOW
Bill Belicheck hasn't heard any of 50 cent's new albums, yet he still enjoys
being the bad guy just as much as 50. No serious conversations or real
handshakes with opposing coaches after the game like coaches normally do, if
your not with us, your against us, and if your against us, trust, will come pull
your tired old withered self out of a hole in the dirt eventually.



[1]Normally, when teams have huge leads in sports in general, they take
all their stars out of the game. It's been viewed as good sportsmanship for as
long as sports have had back up players, and, it prevents your stars from
getting injured playing when they're not really needed

[2] Detective McNulty questions a witness about the murder of a guy named
"Snot Boogie" the witness says "They didn't have to shoot him, we could have
just whooped his ass like we always do, they kill a man over some bullshit" When
Detective McNulty asks him what he's talking about, "The witness says every
night they shoot craps, Snot would play until there was a lot of money on the
ground, then he'd snatch it and run. When McNulty asks the witness why they let
him play, the witness says "We have to, this is America"

You know what this is....it's a celebration bitches!!!!!

     So many things to speak on...so many people to diss. I could talk about how Call of Duty 4 is THE SHIT (for all my gamers out there) I could talk about how whack it is all of a sudden dance music the new craze....yet Kid N Play never get any kind of recognition in the hip hop world. (shit...they made House Party...I'm gonna talk about this 2morrow) I could talk about how people should leave "Dog" alone, I could talk about how American Gangster (The CD) isn't really all that. So many topics....yet fuck them all. Today is me and my girlfriends 8 year anniversary.  (applause, applause, yes thank you, thank you) So, in honor of that, I figured I should go over some reasons I'm grateful we've made it this far

1. Nappy Headed Hoes

     Yes, relationships do have their fair share of drama (unless your both cheating, then you probably both seem to be happy all the time), yet as I'm told and I've witnessed, the single life, definitely isn't the simple life. As do males, some females have issues. I don't mean, "It's that time of the month, don't bother me issues," I mean "My other two baby daddies ain't taking care of their kids, Lakwonda needs some new barrets, diapers, and Jordan's, and I need my nails did" issues. That or "We were just studying for our exam and then...it just happened' sort of issues. I'm not trying to deal with that. At the age I'm at now, most females (and males for that matter) have already been brainwashed by the mainstream media (or in some cases brainwashed by the non-mainstream media, and think they're on some different shit...when they're not) so they're definitely on some shit I already discussed in my first blog. Their either on that, drugs, or the next man's dick, and I'm not trying to deal with any of that. While all females aren't like this, the majority of the single ones are. (That's why they're single)

2. I hate pop music

     Not just pop music, but "hip hop" music that' gets radio play seems to suck now-a-days. With the most popular spot to pick up chicks looking to give up the ass being the club, I'm not really trying to be listening to songs like "Ay Bay Bay" 3 nights a week to get mines. Sorry. the club is not for me. Besides, after seeing Tony Starks snatch all the straight haired hoes up on the stage at Long Beach's Vault 350, it seems the available options at these spots aren't really that great. Me and my girl went to go get a drink at the show, and I was standing behind her going in my pocket. Some dude walks up and tries to get at her, before noticing me. He turns around and says "Oh, that's your girl, my bad, I'm just trying to find the single sistahs in here," me being the cool cat I'm am (as opposed to the insecure one I used to be) I laughed and said "Good luck". I really meant it to, because looking for single "sistahs" as my dude put it, in my area is like looking for Osama at a Chanukah celebration. That is if your not looking for ones that haven't already been left with someone else's mark.

Then there's the obvious reasons

3. This girls family actually likes me (deals with me)/I don't have to deal with one that doesn't
4. It's hard enough dealing with one of ya'll/I don't want to deal with several
5. Dating is whack
6. Rent's cheaper when split in half
7. Last, but most important, Love.
