House of Payne: Tyler Perry, Imitate The Lemmings

This is a hip hop site and I know this, but this must be said. I was at a Turner event yesterday in ATL for the preview of the new Tyler Perry show, House of Payne. Did I know the show was going to lick taint, Yes. Did I know it was going to be unbridled coonery, Yes. Did I know the extent to how hard the show was going to blow balls, No!!!. That show almost made me vomit. I mean I never really understood the fuss about all those stage plays with Tyler Perry in the first place but I imagined it was a past time for old bags who didn't have much else to amuse them. There's no doubt that at a family event, someone would pop in "Madea's Shuck and Jive" and a group of old wenches would crowd around the tv like it was the Sopranos, the Wire, 24 or something that was actually good. I never watched one Madea movie because 1) IT'S A MAN DRESSED IN DRAG AND WELL, THAT'S ENOUGH FOR ME.

My time at the event was the quietest hour I've ever experienced. Even at Turner, the company that produced the show, the ball jugglers who attempt to ascend the corporate ladder sat silent as a mime. Didn't they already try to launch this show like 6 months ago and a guy jumped off a building or some shit. You would think after critics tore this brain fart apart last time, they'd ship this one off to the cemetery. No, not at all. I'm not going to go into detail about how lame the show was and what particular aspects were lame but just know, I wouldn't put my worst enemy through that. House of Payne may go down in history as one of the worst to ever do it alongside HomeBoys in Outerspace.

Note: G-Money, how could you do this??? All I could think when I saw that dude in person was "CMB, we all we got" and "am I my brother's keep, yes I am"
