Ali of St. Lunatics to Drop Solo

August 17th, 2001 | Author:

St. Lunatics' rapper Ali finished work on his debut solo album last month, but there is no scheduled release date just yet.

A member of the St Lunatics, along with Nelly, Kyjuan and Murphy Lee, Ali will be the second of his crew to drop a solo joint. Nelly blew up the world with his Country Grammar LP last year. According to Rich Travali, who has mixed all of the St Lunatics' projects, including their recent release Free City, has said that Ali's album will feature more straightforward rapping, and less of the trademark melodic swing singing that Nelly fans are used to.

Jay E, who produced Country Grammar and Free City, handled all the beats for Ali's album.
