Various Artists - Exit Wounds

Monday, May 28, 2001 | Author: ------

Exit Wounds is the latest flick from Action and Martial Arts superstar Steven Seagal, who is joined in the movie with Hip Hop phenomenon DMX. The film depicted an officer who disobeys authority and infiltrates crime from law breakers and drug cartels.

With all the controversy of DMX's surrendering arrest and the announcement of X's new label, Bloodlines, the movie's soundtrack is relatively solid. Throughout it provides the familiar cadence of sound like other regime of compilations. Featuring accomplished urban stars this is an obvious showcase of new talents and diminutive club joints. In addition, the soundtrack exemplifies more of a laid back material from the diverse artists that accompanies the album's marquee production.

No Sunshine is the leading cut which features the signature sounds of DMX, Party is an impressive track by Timbaland's debuting artist named Sincere, and Gangsta Tears is melodic thug tale by QB's Finest, Nas. Keep it locked to the harmonic mid-tempo track by Ideal called It's On Me, which will definitely inspire any men to confess his strong male role to his lady.

The flaws to the compilation would be They Don't Fuck With U by Three 6 Mafia and State to State by Black Child, they are noticeable album fillers that will disappoint any hardcore Hip Hop listener. I would not care to forget the annoying child-sampling cut by Memphis Bleek called 1-2-3. Which will make Jay-Z reminisce back to his Hard Knock Life.

Besides to these lackluster additions, The Exit Wounds Soundtrack is a good follow up to the actual movie's entertainment value and worthy of public attention.
