Hip Hop Music Reviews and Rap CD Reviews – The only source you can trust!

A number of years ago a certain magazine ruined rap album reviews by rarely going outside 3 and 4.5 on the 5 point rating scale. To this day most cats stick within those parameters with hip hop music reviews and R’n’B reviews. HipHopDX is changing all that, we’re using everything between 0 and 5 and dissecting LP’s with knowledge and perspective not seen often anymore. Credible rap CD reviews are about the only way to sift through all the garbage out there these days, HipHopDX has got that.

The hits are in full effect on this album with everyone shining bright, trust me, it's worth a part of your paycheque.
Killarmy - Fear, Love and War

The Wu affiliated Killarmy, who stepped into the game as a gimmicky copy of the Wu Tang Clan, have gone on and built themselves into a crew who have their own following.
DMX - The Great Depression

DMX worked hard to get where he is but it sounds as if he is now put his attention onto other things, and his album suffers as a result
Mr. Cheeks - John P. Kelly

With a bouncy track record like Mr. Cheeks', it's safe to say that making music that people enjoy is forever in him. Much like the memory of his lost partner-in-rhyme.
Masta Ace - Disposable Arts

This album is refreshing because it stays true to, and close to, those original "back in the day" roots; When Hip Hop felt more "real" as opposed to being/feeling artificial
Freestyle Fellowship - Temptations

Truly refreshing! That’s the best way to describe the Fellowship’s first collective effort in years. Interest in a few songs may wane after time, but the vast majority of this disc has high replay value.

Although the album doesn't come with the most thought provoking lyrics, it shows the hip-hop world that Fubu is ready to make another mark on the music world.

And his first release Dark Days, Bright Nights shows that white MC’s aren’t just eye candy.
