DX: Speaking about the elimination, the judges said you were off-topic and even questioned if your freestyle was pre-written. Now that it’s all said and done—was it?
C: No. That’s not true. They just went off of what Byata and them was saying the whole time, but that wasn’t the case.
DX: What about the “Peace” Challenge. You were the only one that didn’t mess up and even had a dance to go along with your verse…was that pre-written?
C: Some of that was something I had before, but I added onto it. I wasn’t about to make myself look like an idiot [in front of the crowd]. Like I said, the producer’s told all of us to use whatever we got that’s hot. Just not at elimination.
DX: When the girls confronted you about cheating, you really got into it with Reece—
C: Yeah, ‘cause Reece spit so much stuff she had already written and so did Byata. But when I admitted it, they wanted to gang up on me and make me the bad guy. But at the end of the day, I still love those girls. We said a lot of things out of anger but…I know at the end of the day I did my best and I made my mark. And I thank Vh1 for the exposure. Without them I woulda never gotten his type of exposure.
DX: What’s your relationship with the girls like now? Have you spoken to any of them since the show?
C: I’m cool with Lionezz, Lady Twist, Bree, and D.A.B. Reece hit me up on MySpace like, “I still love you,” etc…so it aint no hard feelings. We were in a situation where we were trapped in a house together, missing our families, so certain things came out. But I don’t hate anyone. I would do a song with any of them.
DX: Even Byata?
C: Yeah.
DX: So there are only three girls left in the house now: who deserves the crown?
C: I would have to say Reece. She’s a struggling single mom and she really loves Hip Hop. She’s a really dope lyricist even though she needs to build up her confidence a bit more. But at the end of the day me, and Reece had a lot of moments where we connected but they edited it out. To me, Byata and Cherry are more out for fame, but Reece is just really into Hip Hop.
DX: So what’s next for you?
C: I’m working on a [Juice Crew-inspired] movie with Cuba Gooding, Jr. called The Vapors. I can’t really let the cat outta the bag with details right now. It’s too early to speak on it, but just know that it’s coming. I’m also working on an album, a mixtape, motivational speaking. Me and Lionezz got a song together called “So Sexy.” I’m working on a few things with Bree and Lady Twist; they wanna do a song with me. I’ve also talked about doing something with D.A.B… I’m working on a lot right now. All I’m trying to do is strike while the iron is hot.
