The funky, uptempo track is an ode to shaking off the negativity and lifting one’s mood through moving around and working up a sweat.

The pair made a deal with ESPN to feature “Workout” prominently throughout the ongoing NBA Playoffs.

In March, both Quik and Snoop attended the ceremonial unveiling of Dr. Dre‘s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame alongside other luminaries like Eminem and 50 Cent.

Quik had previously said that he deserved to be treated as Dre’s equal.

“I know it’s early. But I deserve to be where Dre is,” he wrote on X last year. “I don’t think it’s fair, but I understand why. I’ve never had a machine behind me, that always hurt my friends more than it did me.”

He added: “This doesn’t need to be on a podcast. Because you have fire starters, who want to spin everything to get more ratings. But the truth is: I love Dr. Dre, like a big brother, one I never had. It pains me when people pit us against each other.”
