If Mark Wahlberg were to ever resurrect his past career as the cocky rapper Marky Mark, working with JAY-Z, Drake, Diddy, Justin Bieber and Adele would be on his list of potential collaborators.

During the red carpet premiere of Transformers: The Last Knight at the Civic Opera House in Chicago June 20, the Academy Award-nominated actor revealed that there may be a possibility of working with DJ Khaled in the near future.

“I’ve spoken to [DJ Khaled] a couple times. We’re working on some other things,” he tells HipHopDX with a sly smirk on his face.

While not being specific on what exactly they’re working on, with the release of Grateful and Khaled’s knack for getting all of popular music’s heavyweights together on one track, there’s no one better to work with who can make that happen.

The day of the Transformer‘s premiere was also the day Hip Hop received news that Mobb Deep’s Prodigy passed away at 42. Wahlberg took a moment to remember the late-iconic rapper and Mobb Deep’s impact on Hip Hop culture.

“Between what they did for Queensbridge and Nas and what they did for that whole era that was when music, especially Hip Hop was at it’s best. They’ve done so many things. I wouldn’t say one particular song. He was a legend from Queensbridge and he will be missed.”

Transformers: The Last Knight is the last of the Transformer‘s franchise that Mark plans to be a part of, as the film’s director Michael Bay also makes his exit from the series. He’s currently gearing up for Daddys Home 2‘s Christmas Day release and is currently working with both Ridley Scott and Peter Berg.
