Chicago, IL

Saturday (November 4) may have been one of the most epic nights in Chicago Hip Hop history. Kanye West blew some minds when he hit the stage with Kid Cudi, marking the first time Ye’s performed publicly in over a year. Across town was the 10-year anniversary show for Fake Shore Drive, which was a part of the Red Bull Sound Select 30 Days In Chicago.

A who’s who of Chicago rap came out to show their support for Andrew Barber’s venerable publication. Chance The Rapper, King Louie, G Herbo, Bump J, The Cool Kids, Kanye’s old group mate GLC, Twista and the Speedknot Mobstaz were among the Chi-Town luminaries in attendance.

With the crowd pumped full of adrenaline and Red Bull, Detroit’s Tee Grizzley came through to run through some of his standout songs and get everybody ready for the main event: The Big Tymers reunion.

Birdman and Mannie Fresh took it back to the old days as they reminded everybody why they had the rap game locked down in the late 90s and early 2000s. The duo performed hits like “#1 Stunna,” “Get Your Roll On” and of course “Still Fly.”

With more big shows featuring 6LACK, Khalid and Migos still on the lineup for Chicago’s Red Bull shows, fans still have plenty of opportunities to see some incredible events. It will be very difficult to top this night though.
