Kanye West has taken more shots at J. Cole while discussing his divisive apology to Kendrick Lamar.
Speaking with Justin Laboy on The Download podcast, Kanye branded Cole a âpussyâ for backing down in his rap battle with K. Dot, which saw them trade shots on âLike Thatâ and â7 Minute Drill.â

âFuck all that pussy shit. Fuck all that shit, man. Because itâs like, that n-gga J. Cole went on tour with Drake. He knows what it is. Itâs like, n-gga, you canât run now,â Ye said, referencing Cole and Drizzyâs co-headlining Big As the What? Tour.

When asked if itâs âupâ for Cole, West began to mock the North Carolina rap star as he replied: âYou canât say âupâ and âColeâ in the same sentence.â
Laboy then asked the Chicago native if apologies are âallowedâ in rap beef, to which he said: âI donât know, man. I donât listen to J. Cole so I wouldnât even know. I just heard he had a song called âFalse Idolsâ [sic] and somebody told me itâs halfway about me.â

The song Kanye West was referring to, âFalse Prophets,â was released in 2016 and saw J. Cole seemingly taking shots at Ye.
âHeâs fallinâ apart, but we deny it/ Justifying that half ass shit he dropped, we always buy it/ When he tell us he a genius but itâs clearer lately/ Itâs been hard for him to look into the mirror lately,â he rapped.

He continued: âThere was a time when this n-gga was my hero, maybe/ Thatâs the reason why his fall from grace is hard to take/ âCause I believed him when he said his shit was purer and he/ The type of n-gga swear he real but all around himâs fake.â
Kanye also recently dissed Cole on his remix of Future and Metro Boominâs âLike That,â on which he said: âYâall so out of sight, out of mind/ I canât even think of a Drake line/ Play J. Cole, get the pussy dry.â
The song was released in support of Kendrick Lamar in his feud with Drake, with Ye saying at the beginning of the track: âWe gonâ take this pussy n-gga out. Yo Dot, I got you.â
West is far from the first rap figure to criticize J. Cole for apologizing to Kendrick. After catching wind of his olive branch, a perplexed 50 Cent wrote on Instagram: âWTF how I miss this, @realcoleworld call my phone right now!â

Dame Dash also expressed his disappointment, saying: ââAs a fan, Iâm disappointed [âŠ] No disrespect to J. Cole but as a fan, it seemed like he threw up the white flag.â
He added: âHim apologizing was him saying, âYou won, you the best. I canât fuck with you.â Iâm not mad at him. Itâs great he can take the high road but what high road? They were fucking battling.â
