On Monday (November 20), the Baltimore native dropped a video of him spitting some bars over Rick Ross and Meek Mill’s “Shaq & Kobe” instrumental, adding some seasoning of his own to the already buzzing track.

MCs reimagining the vocals on tracks published by their peers has been a longstanding tradition in Hip Hop that offers fans an alternate perspective.

Last month, Jay Rock took an early-2000s JAY-Z track and fired it into the 2020s with a powerful new freestyle during an appearance on Justin Credible’s Power 106 show.  The TDE rap titan freestyled over “The Watcher 2,” a 2002 Jigga track produced by Dr. Dre and Scott Storch.
