HipHopDX Premiere: Hailing from the same Ohio city that birthed artists like Blueprint, RJD2 and MHz, Columbus native Bru Lei juggles his time between his hometown and Sacramento. The underground MC has resurfaced with the new single “Brutang,” which features Wu-Tang Clan affiliate Killah Priest.

Produced by Noshess, the track is taken from Bru’s forthcoming full-length album, Selfie.

“I first met Wu-Tang in Columbus around 1997 and have crossed paths, played shows with various members of that crew over the years,” Bru tells HipHopDX. “While living in Sacramento a few years back, I ran into Priest at a fest and told him I needed him on this track. It was my birthday actually and he rolled through. We wrote and recorded the track together that day.”
