HipHopDX Premiere: Anticon co-founder pedestrian is preparing to release his first album in 11 years — unIndian II. To commemorate the momentous occasion, the veteran MC has shared the lead single from the project, “Oakland Hosanna,” a wild roller coaster ride of frantic drums and passionate lyricism.

“Rap has taught me the principle that this is a world in which everything is either shared or dead,” pedestrian said in a press release. “Whether it’s pre-WWII songs or Divine Styler, old gospel or Nas; everything is to be shared. So, according to the laws of Hip Hop, I work with whatever exists and I know about. And fuck money.”

Described as a “continuation of seismic revelations on life and the ongoing progression of human resistance towards the veils of dictatorship,” the upcoming five-track effort will be on Sole’s label, Black Box Tapes, and distributed through Alpha Pup.
