HipHopDx Premiere: Seattle-based trio The Flavr Blue just dropped their sophomore album Blue Dream in October, and are back with a new music video for “Top Down (Remix)” with The Last Artful, Dodgr.

“We got to perform with Dodgr at last year’s Upstream Music Festival in Seattle and was totally blown away by her, so it was an honor that she asked us to get on ‘Top Down,’ lead vocalist Hollis Wong-Wear told HipHopDX.

Hollis was previously nominated for the 2014 Grammy Awards for her work on “White Walls” with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis on The Heist. Now, she is paired alongside group members Parker Joe and Lace Cadence, forming The Flavr Blue.

“When we were finalizing the album, we decided it’d only be right for her to be featured on the LP beyond a one-off remix since she adds such a dope vibe to the record overall. Special shout outs especially to Tiki and Dodgr for hosting us down in Portland where this video was shot.”

The new video, directed by Tiki, depicts the feel-good anthem well in visual form, as the crew dances, smokes, and drinks carefreely in front of the local liquor store with their friends.
