Trippie Redd and Machine Gun Kelly have the ultimate clap back for a producer who recently complained about his spot on their genre:sadboy EP last month, following which it was removed.
Just one day before the project went live, a producer who goes by @kaixan2k on X (formerly Twitter) wrote on the platform: “The way I just learned I have a beat placement in this morning and I know it’s bout to be the worst song I’ve ever heard.”

Trippie eventually caught wind of the tweet and replied, letting the person know that their contribution to the package would be promptly removed.The beatmaker initially said they’d already been paid, but failed to provide receipts when pressed by Trippie to prove it.
Following an onslaught of Trippie and MGK fans clowning them online, they admitted to not liking the latter because he’s a “pedo.” To emphasize that, the producer shared an interview and tweet from early in the “Wild Boy” rapper’s career where he was 19 and saying that he liked teens.

In a new episode of Complex‘s GOAT Talk, Trippie revisited the moment as he chose it as his “GOAT Clapback.”

Trippie Redd and Machine Gun Kelly’s genre: sadboy was released as a surprise last month. The 10-track project features an appearance from JID and production credits from the likes of SlimXX, BazeXX, Ronny J and more.
On the lead single, “Lost Boys,” the 34-year-old Ohio native wrestles with suicidal thoughts as he details his struggles with depression.
“Bloodshot, blue eyes, I recorded two tonight/ One is for all those I love, this one’s for the suicide/ Everything is blue inside, everyone at you and I/ People won’t say how they feel about you until you die.” he sings on the joint.
Elsewhere on the song, he alludes to heartbreak, possibly referencing his high-profile relationship with Megan Fox.
