Ensuring the Hip Hop culture is left to the younger demographic has always been a scary thought, no matter the generation or era.
Never fear when it comes to Brooklyn Queen, though. At just 12 years old, the Detroit-born rapper-slash-dance-pioneer is all positivity — while still creating music with an edge.
Her music videos such as “Keke Taught Me,”“EMOJI” and “Rich Girl Problems” have all toppled the multi-million mark on YouTube and she’s not holding back, constantly firing off new records as a top signee on the Detroit-based imprint, B.M.B Entertainment.

As of press time, she’s amassed more than 33 million YouTube views.
“Brooklyn’s my real name — my people don’t know that,” she tells us. “My mother really liked [The Notorious B.I.G.] and Biggie’s from New York and that’s how that came together. And the Queen part came about because I was born a queen!”
Brooklyn attributes her “Keke Taught Me” single as the catalyst to her skyrocketing career and explains how embracing an alter ego has helped her artistry.

“The difference between Keke and Brooklyn Queen is Brooklyn Queen is myself: a rapper dancer, actor, model, But Keke is the person you can blame something on. Like if your child does something bad, you can just be like ‘Keke taught me how to do it.’
The burgeoning starlet cites her mother and Beyonce as her top influences. Even with the various dance themes in her music, she says the straight rap song “No Gimmicks” is her proudest moment of an artist.
